Changing Lives Through Education

As the oldest and largest nonprofit adult education agency in Colorado, The Learning Source connects adult students and families with the resources they need to better their lives and take charge of their futures. Our FREE classes help adults earn their high school equivalency credential, learn English, integrate into their communities, and get a better job.

Our Programs

GED classes build knowledge, reading and math skills to help you pass the GED test, earn your high school equivalency credential and get a better job.

ESL classes focus on the skills needed for living and working in an English-speaking society, including reading, speaking, listening and writing.

ESL classes are available for parents and family of students attending high school in the Cherry Creek school district.

ESL classes are available at our partner library location in Arapahoe County.

Practice English and learn more about American culture.

This program helps parents become more actively involved in their children’s education, improve their English skills, access community resources and integrate into their communities.

If you plan to go to college, these classes help you review, refresh and improve your math and English skills.

Every student has access to individualized tutoring and coaching, academic support and assistance with navigating post-secondary education and career pathways.

“I am very happy with the career I have now. I would not have been able to pass the English proficiency test without The Learning Source. I am very thankful for this opportunity because I have the career I dreamed of having in the United States.”

We change lives through education.

People from across the state come to The Learning Source to improve their literacy and English language skills.

The free classes, resources and support The Learning Source provides make an impact on the life of each student we serve. Whether they want to pass the GED test and earn their high school equivalency credential, learn English, read to their children or get a better job and support their families - the impact is real, personal and life changing.

The personal impact also translates into statewide and national benefits such as higher earning potential, lower unemployment rates and a decreased risk of suffering from the effects of poverty.

More than 43 million adults in the U.S. cannot read, write or do basic math above a third-grade level.* Nearly 450,000 Coloradans need help to build literacy skills.

Nationally, bringing all adults up to a sixth grade reading level would generate an additional $2.2 trillion in annual income for our county.*

An estimated $106 to $238 billion in national health care costs each year are linked to low adult literacy skills.*

It’s time to change these statistics. Together - we can make a difference. One person and one life at a time.

“At The Learning Source I was afforded the opportunity to achieve something truly valuable after so many years of bad decisions. Getting my GED marked the first time in years that I believed I might actually have a future worth moving toward. The support I got from the people at The Learning Source went beyond covering the material. They made me feel like I wasn't too foolish to go beyond that. That's a huge part of the reason I'm currently passing my classes in my first semester of college.”

We continue to evolve and develop innovative programs to increase the value we bring our students.
